So this is G.A.D.SG.A.D.S is always on the lookout for new members: many people of all ages have joined us and helped stage a lot of memorable shows over the past 25 years. It is not unusual for people to find previously undiscovered talents once they become involved in amateur dramatics. Certainly most people find a very supportive atmosphere within the group and a quite fantastic sense of achievement from participating in our various productions.
Of course it can be hard work, but it’s also a lot of fun. Then again gads isn't just about prancing around on the village hall stage - we also have social events to add to the variety such as theatre trips to London, summer barbecues and play reading (just for fun), and of course no G.A.D.S year would be complete without our annual Christmas dinner.
So why not come along and join us? If you haven't any drama experience we will be only to happy to "show you the ropes", who knows it may be first step on the road to stardom. whether you want to "tread the boards", help build our fantastic sets, become a wizard at the lighting board, ensure the correct noises are made at the Sound desk, run up that dazzling costume or help with refreshments and front of house everyone will be made welcome.
There’s something for everyone regardless of age and certainly enough variety to most people. Whether you are a novice or an "old hand" you'll be made very welcome come along on a Wednesday night and see how much fun you can really have
